Jasmine Henderson is an independent author, publisher, literary consultant, and entrepreneur based in Rochester, NY. She began her writing career in 2015 with her urban crime series My Brother’s Keeper and its sequel, My Brother’s Keeper II: The King’s Demise. She later expanded her work by publishing Jezebel, a romance novel set during the Harlem Renaissance, which she wrote between the ages of sixteen and nineteen after hearing a song of the same name by Sade. Jezebel became the first official release under her publishing company and consulting agency, Bijou Publications, which she founded in 2019. Through Bijou, Henderson has honed her craft and expanded her storytelling across various genres while also promoting the significance of creative independence and ownership. Bijou Publications has provided her with the opportunity to mentor aspiring writers by offering a range of literary services to help them successfully self-publish their own projects. Henderson is currently penning her fifth novel, The Yearning of Distant Hearts.
